Dakota comes from a family of musicians and music has always been an integral part of her life. Raised on the enchanting Central Coast of California, where the rugged coastline meets rolling vineyards and majestic mountains, she found solace in songwriting at a young age. Dakota’s sound is a unique blend of indie folk and Americana, inspired by musicians such as Dolly Parton, Stevie Nicks, Hozier, and Noah Kahan. Her music reflects her deep connection to the landscapes of her youth, as well as her personal journey of self-exploration.
